Education. Community. Engagement.

We believe design education should be accessible, inclusive, and engaging so we've invented our own series of workshops and events to act on these principles.

Design Clinic

We run a series of free design clinics throughout the year for entrepreneurs and innovators with a social mission. The one hour sessions are an opportunity for attendees to get free advice from our experienced team on whatever challenges they are facing. We use design thinking to help frame problems, before suggesting ways to address these across brand, strategy, visual communication and design.

In The Making

We run a range of participatory, educational workshops for children of all ages to build important life-skills through hands-on experiences. The format is always the same: A team-based design and build challenge, set against the clock, with emphasis placed on innovation, experimentation and teamwork.

Nailed It!

Nailed It! is a quarterly social for friends, clients, collaborators and the local community that is centred around a creative, team-based, design challenge. It’s a celebration of the moment where fearless ambition meets catastrophic failure: the youtube DIY jet-pack gone wrong, The Pikachu cupcake, the Crayola masterpieces that parents stick on the fridge.

What our participants said…

“The workshop was a mind blowing, interactive and engaging concept experienced by a group of young student fascinated with building structures.”

"I can’t recommend the Kennedy Woods workshops highly enough.

Tom and Chris spent a day in school working with a group of our young Design and Technology students. Their planning and attention to detail were exemplary and they engaged fully and tirelessly with their very excited charges.

The kids just loved it all and produced some very impressive structures. They have all been pestering me for a repeat soon!"

Mark Johnson. Headmaster. Cheam School, Newbury.

"...this excellent team building exercise is suitable for any age group and gives you deep insights into personality types and preferred work styles ranging from the meticulous planner to the spontaneous doer or the competitive leader!

I highly recommend this experience to anyone wishing for their team to interact, engage and construct!"

Emma Marks. Events Team. Tate Modern, London.

"The RIBA London hosted Kennedy Woods Architects for an interactive social event at the V&A Museum.

Chris and Tom’s infectious and charismatic personalities created a lively atmosphere as they ensured that all participants were fully engaged and on track to completing the team tasks!"
